PLG - iMovie Rookie

Today we got to spend more time learning about iMovie.  Last week the cohort were set with a task to gather raw footage in relation to learning with the goal to create a video from today's session.

I have surprised myself with how quickly I picked up some of the skills required to edit and create films.  I have a lot more to learn but think I have made a great start into my budding side career of becoming a film maker!  Here is the video that I created from today:

I can not wait to use this tool for the design of future learning!

  1. I enjoyed watching this Heath! I love seeing your hub in action. The music and text complimented your clips well, very engaging. One small piece of advice, would to possibly increase the size of your video on the blog :) Can't wait to see what you produce when you are even more of an iMovie whizz!

Thanks Georgia - I had a blast making it and can see the benefits of using video in creating learning as well as sharing with others! Thanks for the tip - I will look into that one :)

No worries Steph - haven't showed the kids yet so will be interesting to see what their reaction is!

I love the different shots you have used throughout your movie, Heath, as well as all the Stonefields language. Will create a great sense of cohesion when you show your learners! It would be interesting to have the learners come up with their own version of 'a day in the life'.

I look forward to your future creations!

Thanks Latai - I did manage to show the learners this week and they are now keen to make their own video so will plan to do this Term 3!
